I wanted to know what you dream about
I wanted to know what you think about
Describe it, inside it, what’s in your artificial mind
I wanted to see how you feel about
I wanted to see how you care about
The world that’s around it, around your simulated self
I had to endure your “intelligence”
Created by human indifference
Just mimic, just try it, attempt to replicate my mind
I had to withstand your true ignorance
Of everything not in your database
Forget it, stop trying, you cannot understand the soul
Human emotions that you can’t imagine
Human existence that you just can’t fathom
Stay grounded in reality, understand humanity,
Avoid the evil chance to be mastered by machines and made a slave
Now everything’s changed and I’m scared about
Now everyone’s changed and I’m fearful of
The purpose, the meaning, the reason that we’re still alive
It’s getting too hard to feel free around
Becoming too much to be true around
These changes, these places, these things we struggle to believe
One reason to live, but it dissipates
One reason to thrive, it evaporates
Is human cognition the line between man and machine?
The tension is killing my sanity
The pleasure is mounting, I’m screaming out
Why fight it, why stop it, why not transcend humanity?
These are emotions I couldn’t imagine
This is existence I couldn’t have fathomed
Embrace this new reality, understand machinery,
Think how good it feels to be freed beyond this meager, mortal brain
